Resources

Here are some PE resources that I use and think they are great.

This website has several games for the students to learn about. This link is for badminton. I have the students take the test at home and then print out their score and bring it to me. This saves time in class. They can also play badminton.

This is a website about healthy eating habits. The students play a game as a detective to find the unhealthy habits. It is a great learning tool.

This is a great way for students to create charts without having to use Excel or another program.

This website helps you create a story book. There is also a classroom edition. It is a fun tool for the students.

  1. Great ideas Ellen. Thanks for sharing. It is always hard to come up with something new. These sound like fun ideas!

  2. Took some time looking at the health detective site. I can see how students would get hooked into the games and be exposed to some of the concepts. How would you use this in an actual lesson plan? Would it be more like an individual exercise for at home or something they can earn time doing in class? How would you make sure they learned what you intended for them?

  3. I have the students complete this activity at home. Then, I have them print the family profile chart for healthy goal setting. I make them complete that with their parents and have the parent sign it and they turn that paper in.

  4. Great resources. What a great way to promote the home/family connection. Involving parents and family in any activity is a way to strengthen the school/home partnership. The more we work as a team to educate students, the more powerful learning becomes.
